  just wanted to say hi and thanks to everyone that has posted their stories and comments.

  i was df'ed a few months ago now and reading this forum has helped out heaps.

  based on that i wanted to contribute in the hope that my experiences resonate with someone and help with the healing proccess the way it's helped me.

  Welcome! I really appreciate your story.

  I had a similar thought today. Why would God pick and choose who to love or whose prayers to answer. How could a loving father choose which children to love more? If he created us to love he also created us to sin. Unfortunatley there are no good answers. The only one that comes to mind is that this cult we have been raised in has sold us a lie.

  It does get easier though the longer you are out the more balanced one feels. Being "normal" is a great feeling.

  I did not go. I sat around with 3 other non-conformants discussing it. We did not drink Red wine or eat bread. But we did have pizza and Budweiser. Does that count?

  We spoke with a friend who is at Bethel. He had gone to the memorial, 200+ people there at the Memorial and get this, NO PArtakers??????? Isn't that where we thought they were? Guess not.

  I just got my memorial invite

  well technically it is an anniversary invite/special talk invite.

  the car group was just here.

  i was home but hiding and my husband got the door.. i want to tell them exactly why i am not going , but i haven't got my head quite there yet.. i think i am gonna have to just decline!.

  suicide and wts funeral rules

  i just found out that a husband of an old friend committed a suicide and i was wondering if there are any letters to elders or any wts rules concerning funerals for those who committed suicide.

  i've looked in the elders book and letters to boe index and didn't find anything.

  some posts here say they can have the funeral at the kh and some here said they couldn't hold it there because suicide was involved.

  You know the biggest thing that gets me about every publication is the double talk on the meaning of scriptures. They say that the scriptures don't apply to the Great Crowd in that we are not in the covenant and don't partake of the immediate blessing that the 144,000 do.

  Yet they commonly apply all scriptures to the average witness when it's conveinient.

  Example, this scripture doesn't apply to Great Crowd:

  (Hebrews 12:22-24) . . .But YOU have approached a Mount Zion and a city of [the] living God, heavenly Jerusalem, and myriads of angels, 23 in general assembly, and the congregation of the firstborn who have been enrolled in the heavens, and God the Judge of all, and the spiritual lives of righteous ones who have been made perfect, 24 and Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and the blood of sprinkling, which speaks in a better way than Abel's [blood].

  But the one in the article does????

  (Hebrews 13:5) . . .Let [YOUR] manner of life be free of the love of money, while YOU are content with the present things. For he has said: "I will by no means leave you nor by any means forsake you."

  How do we know he won't forsake us? The scripture is for the anointed.

  This in a nutshell is what's entirely wrong with this whole religion. They don't want to share the bible in it's entirety with the great crowd. They want to keep Jesus for themselves.

  we all know they're here but we don't really know who they are.. they are people who sign up here and then never comment (or rarely ever do).. doesn't that make any of you regulars here at the very least a tiny bit suspicious?.

  why would a person sign up to a forum like this and then never say a damn thing?

  it seems to me that there is a primary reason why some folks sign up and then never comment on anything: to spy.

  I hear ya laverite. I probably read for 2 years before I got an account. WHich was 4 years ago I think. It is a great resource. Always up to date info about whats going on in the family.
